Dock monitor

Sometimes you want to keep an eye on a piece of data that changes frequently. Instead of constantly switching to the app, you can put that information right in your dock. It's like a little window to the web page. The dock icon continues to work as a dock icon; click it to open the app. You can disable the dock monitor manually, and it is automatically disabled when you quit the app.

When should I use it?

  1. You want to keep an eye on your Instagram likes, Gmail unread messages, Bitcoin price, or Google Analytics visitor count

How to do it

  1. Create a native mac app from the website you want to monitor. Here's how.
  2. Go to the app you want to monitor, like Google Analytics
  3. Go to App > Dock Monitor, or simply hit ⇧⌘M
